Restrictions after battery replacement:
After replacing the battery, you’ll see “Service” and a message that your phone doesn’t have an original Apple battery in the battery status information on your device. This notification appears because iOS recognizes that the battery has been changed. But it doesn’t bother the iPhone, and the phone works just like it does with the original battery.
Two battery replacement options:
- Battery replacement on standby:
- It usually takes around 15-30 minutes, depending on the specific model.
- Cheaper replacement option.
- Includes replacement of the entire battery including electronics.
- After this replacement, the device will alert you when the battery has changed, but it does not affect the functionality or endurance of the device.
- Replacing the battery with authorization:
- It requires rewiring the electronics from the original battery to the new cell.
- More time-consuming repair, usually takes 2-3 hours.
- Allows you to keep battery status information in the settings.
- A more expensive option, but provides complete functionality and retains the ability to monitor battery condition in the settings.
3. Recommendation:
When it comes to choosing between speed and authorisation, it depends on personal preferences and priorities. If you want a fast and affordable replacement with minimal impact on functionality, a battery replacement on demand may be the optimal choice. Conversely, if you prefer complete retention of functionality and the ability to monitor battery status, replacement with authorization may be preferable, albeit with a longer duration and higher cost.
