<p><span style="color: #000000;">After replacing the battery, you&#8217;ll see &#8220;Service&#8221; and a message that your phone doesn&#8217;t have an original Apple battery in the battery status information on your device. This notification appears because iOS recognizes that the battery has been changed. But it doesn&#8217;t bother the iPhone, and the phone works just like it does with the original battery. </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>Two battery replacement options:</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>Battery replacement on standby:</strong></span>
<ul>
<li><span style="color: #000000;">It usually takes around 15-30 minutes, depending on the specific model.</span></li>
<li><span style="color: #000000;">Cheaper replacement option.</span></li>
<li><span style="color: #000000;">Includes replacement of the entire battery including electronics.</span></li>
<li><span style="color: #000000;">After this replacement, the device will alert you when the battery has changed, but it does not affect the functionality or endurance of the device.</span></li>
</ul>
</li>
<li><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>Replacing the battery with authorization:</strong></span>
<ul>
<li><span style="color: #000000;">It requires rewiring the electronics from the original battery to the new cell.</span></li>
<li><span style="color: #000000;">More time-consuming repair, usually takes 2-3 hours.</span></li>
<li><span style="color: #000000;">Allows you to keep battery status information in the settings.</span></li>
<li><span style="color: #000000;">A more expensive option, but provides complete functionality and retains the ability to monitor battery condition in the settings.</span></li>
</ul>
</li>
</ul>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>3. Recommendation:</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">When it comes to choosing between speed and authorisation, it depends on personal preferences and priorities. If you want a fast and affordable replacement with minimal impact on functionality, a battery replacement on demand may be the optimal choice. Conversely, if you prefer complete retention of functionality and the ability to monitor battery status, replacement with authorization may be preferable, albeit with a longer duration and higher cost. </span></p>

But when it falls into the water, it can be a real disaster. However, not all is lost! There are certain steps you can take to save your iPhone and bring it back to life. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span style="color: #000000;">First of all, if your iPhone falls into the water, don&#8217;t panic! Take the following steps as soon as possible to increase the chances of rescuing your device: </span></p>
<ol class="ol1">
<li class="li1"><span style="color: #000000;">Turn off your iPhone immediately: This is a very important step. Immediately turn off your iPhone by holding down the power button/screen lock for a few seconds. </span></li>
<li class="li1"><span style="color: #000000;">Remove the SIM card: remove the SIM card from the SIM card slot on your iPhone. This will prevent damage to the SIM card and simplify the process of recovering your iPhone after a drop in the water. </span></li>
<li class="li1"><span style="color: #000000;">Remove water: try to remove as much water as possible from the iPhone. You can try shaking it or gently shaking it. </span></li>
<li class="li1"><span style="color: #000000;">Dry the iPhone: After removing any visible water droplets, dry iPhone with a dry cloth to remove any remaining moisture.</span></li>
<li class="li1"><strong><span style="color: #000000;">Don&#8217;t put your phone in rice, it&#8217;s a myth. Although many people think that putting a drowned phone in rice can help fix it, this is actually not the case. This is because rice doesn&#8217;t absorb moisture enough to help by removing it from the device. In addition, the rice can leave tiny particles inside the phone, which can lead to damage to the components of the device. </span></strong></li>
<li class="li1"><span style="color: #000000;">Do not operate the iPhone until it is completely dry: This is an important step. Do not attempt to turn on your iPhone until it is completely dry. </span></li>
</ol>

<span style="color: #000000;">technology was able to improve security and make it easier to log in the owner through face scanning</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">in three-dimensional space. This feature not only protects your privacy better than scanning </span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">fingerprint (Touch ID), but also allows you to make payments, start installing apps in</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">AppStore, etc. At the same time, its nature and ease of use makes it much more intuitive </span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">to use than a fingerprint reader (Touch ID).</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">The Apple giant has introduced this feature in new iPhone models such as iPhone X / XR / XS</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">/ XS MAX, across the 11th version range (iPhone 11/11 Pro / 11 Pro Max), as well as in iPhone 12/12 </span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">Pro / 12 Pro Max / mini, but also in the iPad Pro series &#8211; Face ID is available in 11-inch</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">second-generation and 12.9-inch third- and fourth-generation iPad.</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">Why doesn&#8217;t Face ID work on my iPhone X?</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">Now we come to the topic: why Face ID stopped working. It should be noted right away that </span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">there are several causes and solutions to the problem and all can be addressed either at home or</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">by taking the equipment to the workshop. Take iPhone X, for example, where Face ID has stopped </span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">work.</span></p>
<h3><strong><span style="color: #000000;">When Face ID doesn&#8217;t work on iPhone X</span></strong></h3>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>Software error</strong></span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">If the device has no visual defects, there has been no contact with water, the phone has not been</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">stored for a long time in places with high humidity, but <strong>Face ID</strong> still stopped working, the solution</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">may be a firmware error or insufficient lighting or incorrect viewing angle.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">What can you try to do in this case? Restart the system. Despite the fact that </span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">iOS is considered the most reliable and stable firmware, like any other system, it is not</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">immune to occasional flaws and mistakes. A reboot can help load properly </span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">all components of the operating system and load sensors and scanners together correctly</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">responsible for the proper operation of Face ID.</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">The operating system hasn&#8217;t been updated in a while</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">If the reasons listed above do not exist and Face ID still does not work on iPhone X, you need to</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">check iOS update. You can find this item in settings-general-software-update </span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">and you should pay attention to it and always have the latest firmware version installed.</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">Important! When updating, the battery indicator must show at least 50% to give the iPhone time </span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">correctly download and install all components of the update. We recommend using </span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">stable internet connection. For example, if the choice is between LTE mobile internet </span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">or 5G and Wi-Fi, it&#8217;s better to give preference to the second option, i.e. Wi-Fi.</span></p>
<h3><strong><span style="color: #000000;">Setting up Face ID correctly</span></strong></h3>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">Inexperienced users may set up Face ID incorrectly and then be confused, resulting in</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">of which face sensing on the iPhone X does not work, for example, Face ID may not work at all</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">turn on or cause scanning errors. So what needs to be done? </span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">After you go to the settings menu and open the Face ID tab, they should be activated</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">all sliders that are highlighted in green. For Attention you need to be careful </span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">and carefully read the warnings that come with this option.</span></p>
<p><img decoding="async" class=" wp-image-1129" src="https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/photo_2021-09-24-14.56.22.jpeg" alt="Face ID doesn't work" width="247" height="462" srcset="https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/photo_2021-09-24-14.56.22-161x300.jpeg 161w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/photo_2021-09-24-14.56.22-200x374.jpeg 200w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/photo_2021-09-24-14.56.22-400x747.jpeg 400w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/photo_2021-09-24-14.56.22-548x1024.jpeg 548w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/photo_2021-09-24-14.56.22-600x1121.jpeg 600w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/photo_2021-09-24-14.56.22.jpeg 685w" sizes="(max-width: 247px) 100vw, 247px" /></p>
<h3><strong>Face ID doesn&#8217;t work</strong></h3>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">If Face ID doesn&#8217;t work after all of the above settings, you&#8217;ll need to do</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">reset Face ID. Resetting is simple and is located in the same menu. Resetting you </span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">The iPhone will ask for a numeric password.</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">After resetting Face ID, you must set new parameters. This will protect your data and </span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">also be able to pay by face scan only, without the need for additional passwords and PINs</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">bank cards. The procedure is as follows: </span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;"><strong>&#8211; go to settings</strong></span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;"><strong>&#8211; click on Face ID and code and set Face ID</strong></span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;"><strong>&#8211; click on Start which will start the scan, the smartphone camera should be in the right</strong></span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">at an angle to your face. Do not move or play with your facial expressions during the process so that the sensors </span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">could create a 3D image of your face</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">&#8211; the repeated procedure contributes to more accurate face recognition in the future</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">If everything is done correctly, you will be notified that the process has been successfully completed</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">Now we&#8217;ll list a few other options that can prevent Face ID from working correctly</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">worked on iPhone X</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">&#8211; seasonal clothing-this happens especially often in winter, when we bundle up in scarves and hats.</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">These additions to our wardrobe can affect facial and camera legibility, which</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">is unable to scan and correctly recognize all the necessary points, resulting in</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">the result is that Face ID cannot unlock the iPhone. The solution, of course, is </span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">simple-for a short period of time to remove these items of clothing and thus allow proper</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">facial scanning</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">&#8211; The same applies to the summer season, when users wear sunglasses, masks, hats, etc.</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">The solution may be an item in the Face ID-alternative appearance settings that will</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">must be set</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">&#8211; Face ID on iPhone doesn&#8217;t work because of the obstructed optics &#8211; except for the normal, accidental</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">covering your hands, a new case or new protective glass may cover the holes. If </span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">the case or glass is of poor quality or does not match the iPhone model, it may</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">This will cause errors when scanning the face. Then you must choose only such </span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">accessories that are compatible with your iPhone model and of better quality than you</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">they&#8217;ve had so far.</span></p>
<h3><strong><span style="color: #000000;">What to do if Face ID stops working on your iPhone</span></strong></h3>
<p><img decoding="async" class=" wp-image-1128" src="https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/photo_2021-09-24-14.56.16.jpeg" alt="Face ID doesn't work" width="343" height="420" srcset="https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/photo_2021-09-24-14.56.16-200x245.jpeg 200w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/photo_2021-09-24-14.56.16-245x300.jpeg 245w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/photo_2021-09-24-14.56.16-400x490.jpeg 400w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/photo_2021-09-24-14.56.16-600x735.jpeg 600w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/photo_2021-09-24-14.56.16-768x941.jpeg 768w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/photo_2021-09-24-14.56.16-800x980.jpeg 800w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/photo_2021-09-24-14.56.16-836x1024.jpeg 836w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/photo_2021-09-24-14.56.16.jpeg 1045w" sizes="(max-width: 343px) 100vw, 343px" /></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">Have you tried all of the above but Face ID still doesn&#8217;t work on your iPhone? In that </span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">in this case, it is appropriate to consider a technical problem and faulty hardware.</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">What are the symptoms:</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;"><strong>&#8211; Face ID does not work reliably, the background is &#8220;like fog&#8221;</strong></span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;"><strong>&#8211; Face ID doesn&#8217;t work or start &#8211; restarting the device didn&#8217;t solve the problem</strong></span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;"><strong>&#8211; The screen says: Face ID is not available, please try again later</strong></span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;"><strong>&#8211; When you try to add a face, the image is out of focus and it says: zoom out or</strong></span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;"><strong>zoom in on the camera (or raise or lower it, depending on your iOS version).</strong></span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">If the device is under warranty, just contact your nearest authorised service centre and they will</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">will usually replace the iPhone with a new one. In other cases, you will need to contact such </span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">a service that can fix the problem and specialises in this type of repair. In order to </span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">repair done well and lasted a long time, you should contact a trustworthy</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">service that uses certified equipment and professional tools. Before you go to the workshop, </span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">we recommend you read reviews of the service you are going to take your phone to.</span></p>
<h2><strong><span style="color: #000000;">Face ID not working after contact with liquid</span></strong></h2>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">Water intrusion inside the device has a devastating effect on all components in the iPhone. They oxidize </span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">elements that become covered with corrosion and these cease to interact with the system. If you don&#8217;t apply </span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">phone to the repair shop on time or you may not notice a soaking, even if it is slight, you may</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">over time, the individual contacts or the sensors as a whole are completely damaged.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">So what to do if Face ID doesn&#8217;t work on my iPhone after contact with water? It is essential to make it as </span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">first bring your iPhone to a repair shop to have it repaired and cleaned with special products,</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">which will remove the oxidation and the damaged components will be repaired.</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">The specialists at i-Fix carry out repairs using professional tools and technical</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">Equipment. You can contact us at any time for assistance to ensure that your equipment continues to </span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">worked as it should. In our service price list you will find only reasonable prices without unnecessary </span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">surcharges.</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">We always install only original parts or proven analogues that guarantee stability</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">functions of all components. So if your iPhone with Face ID doesn&#8217;t work after contact with water, </span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">take it to our technicians who will try to repair it as soon as possible.</span></p>
<h2><strong><span style="color: #000000;">Face ID on iPhone doesn&#8217;t work after a crash</span></strong></h2>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">Often there is a crash after which Face ID does not work properly or does not turn on at all.</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">A familiar situation for many users of not only Apple devices, but also other brands. So what are </span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">symptoms and what to look out for:</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;"><strong>&#8211; the camera takes many times longer to start than usual</strong></span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;"><strong>&#8211; Portrait mode does not blur the background or does not work at all</strong></span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;"><strong>&#8211; A FaceTime call tells you that the camera is busy with another program,</strong></span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;"><strong>even though you didn&#8217;t turn on anything else</strong></span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;"><strong>&#8211; spontaneous switching on of a lamp that you have not clicked on</strong></span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;"><strong>&#8211; truedepth camera is not working because it is physically broken.</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">By the way, it is not always necessary to change components after a crash, sometimes it can simply</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">disassemble the phone and place the components in their proper places, as the fall may have</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">their displacement or detachment. Another thing is if the Truedepth camera doesn&#8217;t work because of </span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">cracks and other external, visible to the eye, damage.</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">If Face ID doesn&#8217;t work and nothing helps</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">If you have tried all the tricks described above and also performed forced</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">reboot, you can still try another method &#8211; DFU mode. It helps in cases where </span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">the phone does not respond to touch at all, freezes and is slow. It is easy to get into DFU mode </span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">to get it, just connect your Phone to a laptop or computer running iTunes. Once it&#8217;s </span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">the computer detects, the recovery process starts. This can help when Face ID doesn&#8217;t work on the iPhone </span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">due to a software bug. You can read how to switch your phone to DFU mode <a style="color: #000000;" href="https://i-fix.cz/en/uncategorized/recovery-mode-recovery-mode-and-dfu-mode-on-iphone-8-8-plus-x-xs-xs-max-xr-11-11-pro11-pro-max.html">here</a> </span></p>
<h3><strong><span style="color: #000000;">Face ID doesn&#8217;t work after replacing the display</span></strong></h3>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">No one is protected from unprofessional intervention of repair shops, where they don&#8217;t know what</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">they do, so it happens that Face ID or TrueTone doesn&#8217;t work after replacing the screen. You need </span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">take the utmost care when selecting a service centre to provide</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">service level and have positive reviews. Here are just a few of the criteria by which </span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">you should get your bearings:</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">&#8211; the service has quality spare parts in stock so that the customer does not have to wait weeks for</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">handling of repairs</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">&#8211; service is dedicated to the most difficult fixes possible, including those where Face ID on</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">iPhone X or other models does not work</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">&#8211; services include tasks such as replacing displays, motherboards, connectors, batteries</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">etc.</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">All of these are handled by the specialists at i-Fix Servis and they provide full service and warranty</span></p>
<h3><strong><span style="color: #000000;">Summary</span></strong></h3>

<span style="color: #000000;">&#8211; if Face ID is not working on your iPhone, you can try to fix the problem</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">themselves</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">&#8211; never disassemble the iPhone after contact with liquid or dry it with a hair dryer, in rice and</span><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">in other ways. It is always necessary to seek the help of professionals! </span><br />

Accidentally dropping your smartphone can cause you to be forced to go to a repair shop for repairs without delay. How long does this task take, how to replace the display, and what tools do technicians use in their work? </span></p>
<h3><strong> Replacing the iPhone X display: where to start? </strong></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;"> The repair is not difficult if you have previous experience with Apple technology. In the first stage you will need a screwdriver <strong><em>Pentalobe</em></strong> &#8211; use it to unscrew the screws at the bottom of the phone. To further open the <strong>iPhone X</strong>, you must first carefully heat the device around the perimeter with a hairdryer &#8211; from the factory, an adhesive is used inside the perimeter of the structure to ensure resistance to the ingress of dust and moisture. However, if the iPhone gets too hot, it can damage internal components, so it&#8217;s important to act quickly, and with the utmost care. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;"> After removing the adhesive, open the phone carefully. For this, a special pick with a thin, sharp blade and a plastic spatula are used. </span></p>
<p><strong> <span style="color: #ff0000;"> Important! </span>iPhone X can only be opened from left to right, otherwise the display cables or the headphone flex cable could be damaged. </strong></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;"> The cover panel of the display connectors is fitted with 5 screws (2 of them are different lengths, so it is important not to mix them up). The screws are removed with a <em>3-point screwdriver</em>. After removing the protective cover, the battery is disconnected from the motherboard. Skipping this step may cause a short circuit on the motherboard. Then the connectors and the headphone flex cable are carefully disconnected from the motherboard. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Important! Even the slightest carelessness can damage the flex cable of the headset. Due to this, the Face ID and True Tone feature will not be available in the future, even if this feature is replaced by a new part. <em>Face ID</em> and <em>True Tone</em> only work with the original headphone flex cable that is paired to the processor. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;"> The protective cover of the flex cables of the display and the flex cable of the handset must be unscrewed slowly and with a good quality magnetic screwdriver. After all, without it, your screwdriver can slip and damage not only the display and headphone cables, but also break off part of the motherboard or puncture the battery insulation, which can cause the lithium to ignite if oxygen gets inside. </span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;"> The introduction of <strong>True Tone</strong> technology has become another important feature on all new iPhone models. After the display is replaced, this feature will not work even if the original parts &#8211; the display &#8211; are used. This is due to the fact that each display from iPhone 8 and above is designed for the specific phone on which it is mounted from the factory. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;"> To restore True Tone, you need <span style="color: #ff0000;">a special programmer</span> that reads the data from the original display and transfers it to the new display.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;"> In general, it is quite difficult to replace the display on these iPhones separately. This task requires not only experience and knowledge of the basic details of repairing Apple devices, but also the need to own special equipment to make the repair go correctly. Trying to save money on professional service often leads to serious damage to important components, such as screen smudges, or the operation of basic features like <em>Face ID</em> and <em>True Tone</em> may be disrupted, or the display may not fully adhere to the body of the phone after replacement. That&#8217;s why it&#8217;s best to have the repair done by experts &#8211; only then can you get the quality guarantee you need and, most importantly, a fully functional iPhone after the repair. </span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #000000;">Your iPhone won&#8217;t turn on? If your iPhone won&#8217;t turn on and the apple is lit up, or the screen is completely black and the iPhone doesn&#8217;t respond to button presses, there is a solution! Both of these problems can happen to any iPhone user, dropping the device on the floor is not a requirement. You can read about what to do if your iPhone won&#8217;t turn on in the following article. It is often possible to solve the above problems on your own without visiting a service center and the associated financial costs. </span></p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="alignnone wp-image-948" src="https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/IMG-2257.jpg" alt="iPhone won't turn on" width="317" height="388" srcset="https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/IMG-2257-200x245.jpg 200w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/IMG-2257-245x300.jpg 245w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/IMG-2257-400x490.jpg 400w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/IMG-2257-600x736.jpg 600w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/IMG-2257-768x942.jpg 768w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/IMG-2257-800x981.jpg 800w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/IMG-2257-835x1024.jpg 835w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/IMG-2257-1200x1471.jpg 1200w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/IMG-2257.jpg 2860w" sizes="(max-width: 317px) 100vw, 317px" /></p>
<h2><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #000000;"><b>Perform a hard reboot</b></span></h2>
<p><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #000000;">The first thing you can do if your iPhone won&#8217;t turn on is to try a forced (&#8220;hard&#8221;) reboot. This procedure can get your iPhone out of recovery mode, which the device may have inadvertently gotten into, and which may simply delete the software and all of your data on your iPhone. </span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #000000;">Forced restart is performed differently for different models</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #000000;"><b>iPhone models</b></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #000000;">On iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, iPhone 6S and older:</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #000000;">Simultaneously press and hold the Home Button and ON/OFF button (located on the side or top of the device, depending on the iPhone model) for 15 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the display.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #000000;">On iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus:</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #000000;">Simultaneously press the Volume Down button and hold the ON/OFF (side) button for about 15 seconds until the Apple logo appears.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #000000;">On iPhone 8/8 Plus, iPhone X and later:</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #000000;">Click and immediately release the volume up button. Next, press and immediately release the volume down button. Then press and hold the ON/OFF power button for 15 seconds until the Apple logo appears. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #000000;"><b>Remember how to force restart your device! In most cases, it can help with similar glitches that can happen on your iPhone! </b></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #000000;">A forced restart is completely safe and will not erase or lose any data from your iPhone.</span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #000000;">If a hard reboot doesn&#8217;t help, try another option:</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #000000;">Connect your iPhone to the charger. iPhone often won&#8217;t turn on and shows no signs of life, due to the fact that its battery is completely drained. So connect your iPhone to a charger and let it charge for an hour. </span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #000000;">Here are some important tips to keep in mind:</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">● <span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;">Preferably use original or tested and quality chargers </span> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #000000;">There have been cases where an iPhone has shut down due to a dead battery, but not charged due to a damaged charging adapter or cable. Make sure the charger and cable are in working order. </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">● <span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;">Charge your iPhone with electricity. </span> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #000000;">Often users charge the iPhone from the USB port with the help of a computer. But because of the old battery in the smartphone and the low capacity of the current supplied from the USB interface of the computer, the battery simply does not charge. </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">● <span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;">Check if the connector is not dirty. </span> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #000000;">Sometimes charging will not start due to a heavily soiled Lightning connector. So check the charging port. If it is dirty, clean it gently, for example with a toothpick. </span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #000000;">How to tell if your iPhone has really started charging?</span></p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="alignnone wp-image-949 alignleft" src="https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/IMG-2261.jpg" alt="iPhone won't turn on" width="282" height="289" srcset="https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/IMG-2261-200x205.jpg 200w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/IMG-2261-293x300.jpg 293w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/IMG-2261-400x410.jpg 400w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/IMG-2261-600x615.jpg 600w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/IMG-2261-768x787.jpg 768w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/IMG-2261-800x819.jpg 800w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/IMG-2261-1000x1024.jpg 1000w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/IMG-2261-1200x1229.jpg 1200w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/IMG-2261.jpg 1766w" sizes="(max-width: 282px) 100vw, 282px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #000000;">If, after connecting the device to the charger, the battery and cable logo does not appear on your iPhone&#8217;s display and it still asks to connect to the charger, the battery is not charging and the cable or adapter is not working. Therefore, you must use another charging accessory. </span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #000000;">If the battery symbol appears on the screen, the iPhone is charging successfully. You should only start worrying if this logo is displayed unchanged for more than 30 minutes. In this case, you need to try replacing both the charging adapter and the cable again. </span></p>

<h2></h2>
<h2 style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #000000;"><b>Connecting iPhone to iTunes in recovery mode</b></span></h2>
<p><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #000000;">If neither charging nor a hard reboot can turn on your iPhone, you need to try putting your device into recovery mode. Here we must stress that system recovery with data loss may not always be necessary. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #000000;">The first step is to try to get your iPhone back to a working state with the help of a software update. This method has already saved thousands of iPhones without losing user data. Therefore, we strongly recommend using it initially: </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><b>Step 1</b></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;">. Connect your iPhone to your computer with a USB cable and launch iTunes (Finder window in macOS Catalina). </span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><b>Step 2</b></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;">. Put your iPhone into recovery mode and select the option to update (not restore!) </span></span></p>
<p><em><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #000000;">Note: iPhone must be connected to the computer using a USB cable.</span></em></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">● <span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;">On iPhone 6s, iPhone 6, iPhone 5s and older.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #000000;">Press and hold the Home Button and ON/OFF button simultaneously for about 20 seconds until the iTunes logo (the laptop logo on iOS 13 devices) appears.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">● <span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;">On iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, press and hold the Volume Down button and the ON/OFF button at the same time for about 20 seconds until the iTunes logo appears (Notebook logo on iOS 13 devices).</span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">● <span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;">On iPhone 8/8 Plus, iPhone X and later.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #000000;">Press and immediately release the volume up button.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #000000;">Press and immediately release the volume down button. Then press and hold the ON/OFF button for about 20 seconds until the iTunes logo (the laptop logo on iOS 13 devices) appears. </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;">Read more about Recovery Mode </span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;">here.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><b>Step 3</b></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;">. Once the update is successful, the system will boot and then click &#8220;Eject iPhone&#8221; in the iTunes window. </span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><b>Step 4</b></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;">. Restart iPhone. To do this, just hold down the ON/OFF button. You can also do a forced restart using the method described above. </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #000000;">As a result of this operation, your iPhone can be turned on and will work as before without the need to reset the device. </span></p>
<h2><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #000000;"><b>Restore iPhone via iTunes</b></span></h2>
<p><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #000000;">If the iPhone won&#8217;t turn on even after connecting to the computer and then updating, then only a system restore will help. In most cases, a system restore means deleting all data from the device. You will only be able to get your data back if a current backup is available on iCloud or iTunes. </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;">For instructions on how to restore your iPhone via iTunes, see </span><a href="https://i-fix.cz/en/uncategorized/recovery-mode-recovery-mode-and-dfu-mode-on-iphone-8-8-plus-x-xs-xs-max-xr-11-11-pro11-pro-max.html"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #ff0000;">here</span></a></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #000000;">If all options fail and none of the above methods helped to get your device up and running, it means that your iPhone is physically damaged and you need to contact a service center.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #000000;">Why won&#8217;t the iPhone turn on?</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #000000;">1. The most common reason is a faulty battery that prevents the iPhone from turning on. If you&#8217;ve noticed your iPhone draining quickly before, shutting down at 10-30% charge, shutting down in freezing cold weather, or any other similar anomaly, then the problem is definitely in the battery. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #000000;">The exchange will help!</span></p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="alignnone wp-image-951" src="https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/IMG-9197.jpg" alt="iPhone won't turn on" width="392" height="392" srcset="https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/IMG-9197-66x66.jpg 66w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/IMG-9197-150x150.jpg 150w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/IMG-9197-200x200.jpg 200w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/IMG-9197-300x300.jpg 300w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/IMG-9197-400x400.jpg 400w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/IMG-9197-600x600.jpg 600w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/IMG-9197-768x768.jpg 768w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/IMG-9197-800x800.jpg 800w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/IMG-9197-1024x1024.jpg 1024w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/IMG-9197-1200x1200.jpg 1200w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/IMG-9197.jpg 3024w" sizes="(max-width: 392px) 100vw, 392px" /></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;">You can view the battery replacement price list for your iPhone model </span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><a href="https://i-fix.cz/en/opravy-iphone"><span style="color: #ff0000;">here</span></a>.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #000000;">2. Power controller failure is another very common cause of iPhone failure. The symptoms before failure are similar to a dead battery-accidental shutdown, overheating, etc. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; color: #000000;">Replacing the chip is relatively inexpensive. The power controller or other microchip associated with the charging process is replaced and can be done at any professional service centre. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="color: #000000;">3. Failure of other components. iPhone may not turn on due to failure of other components, most commonly after the smartphone is dropped or moisture intrusion. The exact cause can only be determined during professional diagnostics at a service center. </span> </span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">This problem can be encountered by owners of iPhone models starting with the iPhone 8. If you use the phone without protecting the back, the glass becomes very vulnerable. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">Replacing the back glass on iPhones is quite a chore if you do it by hand. That&#8217;s because the glass is &#8220;hard&#8221; glued to the iPhone and when you manually peel it off, it starts to break and can seriously damage things like the iPhone housing, wireless charging, side button flex cables, or charging connector, which ultimately leads to higher overall repair costs. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">In the event of a broken back glass, the official Apple service center suggests replacing the iPhone with a new device for a huge additional fee. So what to do in this situation? </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">You must choose a non-authorised service centre where the rear glass will be carefully replaced without damaging the internal components. When repairing the iPhone XS back cover glass, the technician will usually disassemble the iPhone and heat the glass vigorously with a hair dryer. However, this is an outdated technology that risks leaving imperfections and small leaks around the perimeter of the cover after replacement. Also, because the iPhone has to be completely disassembled for this procedure, it takes quite a long time to replace the back glass this way. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;"><strong>Our service has such an option</strong> &#8211; replacement of the rear glass on iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone XR, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max on specialized equipment using laser technology. The laser trims the back glass according to predetermined parameters, completely eliminating the possibility of damaging the housing and components inside your iPhone. </span></p>

In this article, we will look at the possible reasons and try to find a solution for each of them. </span></h2>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">If your iPhone has stopped charging, read this article to the end. We&#8217;re sure you&#8217;ll find some of the tips below helpful. </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">As you probably already understand, there is more than one reason why an iPhone may not charge. We&#8217;ve gathered the most common reasons below. Let&#8217;s start with the simplest ones and then move on to the more serious causes. </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">Follow the advice given and try to absorb what you have read. I&#8217;m sure some of the tips will help you charge your iPhone. </span></p>
<h2><span style="color: #000000;"><b>Reason 0: Software (firmware) error </b></span></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">Believe it or not, in most cases, the reason your iPhone won&#8217;t charge is because of the software (firmware), not the hardware. If you didn&#8217;t know, inside the iPhone there is a controller (a chip on the motherboard) that is responsible for charging the battery. This controller is controlled by software commands. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">So when you connect the cable to the iPhone, power is not supplied directly to the battery, but first to the motherboard with the controller, which is then controlled by a program that is part of the phone.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">So what did we actually find out? The fact that the iPhone&#8217;s software component detects when a power source is connected to the phone, which instructs the driver to start charging. If the software doesn&#8217;t respond (e.g. the phone is stuck), no command will be issued and your iPhone won&#8217;t charge. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">A hard reset of the device usually helps resolve this issue. To do this, hold down the <span style="color: #ff0000;">Home</span> and <span style="color: #ff0000;">Power</span> buttons simultaneously for at least 30 seconds. </span></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="color: #000000;"> <span style="font-weight: 400;"> If you need to restart your iPhone X or 8 &#8211; read </span><span style="color: #ff0000;"><a style="color: #ff0000;" href="https://i-fix.cz/en/uncategorized/recovery-mode-recovery-mode-and-dfu-mode-on-iphone-8-8-plus-x-xs-xs-max-xr-11-11-pro11-pro-max.html"><span style="font-weight: 400;">this article</span></a></span></span></li>
</ul>
<h2><span style="color: #000000;"><b>Reason #1: Charging port contamination </b></span></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">80% of the population carry their phones in their trouser pockets. We don&#8217;t know about you, but we try to clean the dirt out of our pockets regularly, but there&#8217;s always some left behind. Plus, this dirt (dust, lint, hair, etc.) tries to get into every nook and cranny on your iPhone. </span></p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="alignnone wp-image-618" src="https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/5e9eba602dc41_IMG_0302-1.jpg" alt="iPhone not charging" width="367" height="250" srcset="https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/5e9eba602dc41_IMG_0302-1-200x136.jpg 200w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/5e9eba602dc41_IMG_0302-1-300x204.jpg 300w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/5e9eba602dc41_IMG_0302-1-400x272.jpg 400w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/5e9eba602dc41_IMG_0302-1-600x409.jpg 600w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/5e9eba602dc41_IMG_0302-1-768x523.jpg 768w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/5e9eba602dc41_IMG_0302-1-800x545.jpg 800w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/5e9eba602dc41_IMG_0302-1-1024x697.jpg 1024w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/5e9eba602dc41_IMG_0302-1-1200x817.jpg 1200w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/5e9eba602dc41_IMG_0302-1.jpg 1600w" sizes="(max-width: 367px) 100vw, 367px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">Just imagine, this is the first and most common reason why an iPhone may not charge! You can&#8217;t even imagine what a pile of dust and dirt can get into your iPhone&#8217;s charging slot! </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">The accumulated compressed dust does not allow the cable plug to insert normally into the connector hole, which leads to the problem. Don&#8217;t believe us? </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">Try cleaning it yourself! Take a wooden toothpick and thoroughly clean the accumulated debris from the charging connector. Try to clean the charging hole in both corners. However, be careful not to damage the contacts! </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">You may be surprised to see how much dirt you have managed to remove. Next, blow out the connector and connect the cable to charge. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">If the battery in your iPhone is very low, it can take up to 15 minutes for the first signs of life to appear.</span></span></p>
<h2><span style="color: #000000;"><b>Reason 2: The USB port is faulty </b></span></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">If you&#8217;re trying to charge your iPhone via the USB port on your PC, but the iPhone won&#8217;t charge, the first thing you should do is check if this or that port is even working. For example, there are several USB connectors on our Windows work laptop that don&#8217;t charge the iPhone at all. We don&#8217;t know what this is related to, but the phone simply won&#8217;t charge. It appears that the 5V power needed to charge the battery in the iPhone is not being supplied to these USB ports. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">Now we will list some information to understand the principle of battery charging in iPhone:</span></p>
<ol>
<li><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;"> <strong> The usual USB port</strong> on a PC or laptop has a voltage of 5V and an output current of 0.5A</span></li>
<li><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;"> Standard <strong>iPhone</strong> charging with an adapter from a power outlet has a voltage of 5V and an output current of 1A</span></li>
<li><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;"> Standard <strong>iPad</strong> charging with an adapter to the socket has a voltage of 5V and an output current of 2A</span></li>
</ol>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">Check it out. If this is the case, try a different USB port or connect the iPhone to normal 220V. If the charger also fails to charge your iPhone, read on for another possible reason. </span></p>
<h2><span style="color: #000000;"><b>Reason #3: Charger (adapter) / faulty cable </b></span></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">As is generally known, genuine Apple chargers are quite expensive. For this reason, many people buy iPhone charging components on AliExpress and similar platforms in China. </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #ff0000;"><strong>!!! We strongly advise against it! In no case DO NOT buy or use cheap, Chinese, non-original adapters!!! </strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">According to customer reviews and personal experience, we can assure you that sooner or later Chinese chargers will affect the charging and battery condition and may cause the phone to malfunction altogether! You yourself must realize that <em>cheaper does not mean better</em> and that in the end, replacing the battery or charging components may cost you several times what you would normally pay for a genuine Apple charger. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">So, if your iPhone won&#8217;t charge using a Chinese (non-original) charger, try buying, or borrowing from someone to try out, an original Apple adapter. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">However, if you have an original and genuine Apple adapter and your iPhone still doesn&#8217;t charge, it&#8217;s your turn to test the Lighting cable. From personal experience, we can tell you that even the original cables that come with your new iPhone fail. </span></p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="alignnone wp-image-620" src="https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/5e9eba8e7288e_IMG_0303-1.jpg" alt="iPhone not charging" width="394" height="187" srcset="https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/5e9eba8e7288e_IMG_0303-1-200x95.jpg 200w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/5e9eba8e7288e_IMG_0303-1-300x142.jpg 300w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/5e9eba8e7288e_IMG_0303-1-400x190.jpg 400w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/5e9eba8e7288e_IMG_0303-1-600x285.jpg 600w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/5e9eba8e7288e_IMG_0303-1-768x364.jpg 768w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/5e9eba8e7288e_IMG_0303-1-800x380.jpg 800w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/5e9eba8e7288e_IMG_0303-1-1024x486.jpg 1024w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/5e9eba8e7288e_IMG_0303-1-1200x569.jpg 1200w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/5e9eba8e7288e_IMG_0303-1.jpg 1600w" sizes="(max-width: 394px) 100vw, 394px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">Original cables are inherently quite fragile. If you don&#8217;t use them carefully enough, then the outer sheath often gets damaged, but also the conductive &#8220;cores&#8221;. For example, we recently threw away an original cable because it started charging the iPhone at no more than 60%&#8230; </span></p>
<h2><strong><span style="color: #000000;">&#8220;This cable or accessory is not supported &#8230;&#8221;</span></strong></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">Probably some of you have already encountered this message &#8220;<strong>This cable or accessory is not supported, so its operation with this iPhone is not guaranteed to be reliable.</strong>&#8221; There could be several reasons for this and we will consider them in a separate article.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">We can say only one thing, starting with iOS 7, Apple has taught its devices to recognize the originality of USB cables.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">As previously mentioned, a special chip is installed in the plug of the Lighting cable that allows the iPhone (iPad) to recognize the origin of this cable. The Chinese, of course, have learned to make fake Lighting chips, but with the release of iOS 7 Apple has changed the rules of the game again. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">Therefore, try to use only and exclusively original cables.</span></p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="alignnone wp-image-623" src="https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/5e9ebad865e2c_unnamed-1.jpg" alt="iPhone not charging" width="339" height="201" srcset="https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/5e9ebad865e2c_unnamed-1-200x119.jpg 200w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/5e9ebad865e2c_unnamed-1-300x178.jpg 300w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/5e9ebad865e2c_unnamed-1-400x238.jpg 400w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/5e9ebad865e2c_unnamed-1.jpg 512w" sizes="(max-width: 339px) 100vw, 339px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">Use only the original Lighting cable and original Apple adapter. However, if even this doesn&#8217;t work and your iPhone still won&#8217;t charge, one of the components in your iPhone is probably defective. Read about it below. </span></p>
<h2><span style="color: #000000;"><b>Reason 4: iPhone battery </b></span></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">Any battery is a consumer product. This means that batteries do not last forever and require regular replacement. We recently replaced the battery on a MacBook Air, at the stage where the battery was absolutely no longer responding and charging was no longer possible, the MacBook could not be used without the cable. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">It can also happen with an iPhone, although it&#8217;s relatively rare. Four- to five-year-old phones are especially prone to this diagnosis, which manifests itself as a gradual battery failure and degradation of fitness, up to complete battery failure, where in extreme cases the iPhone cannot be turned on at all. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">Replacing an iPhone battery is not complicated, but it requires some experience, tools and skills. If your device is brand new or newer, we don&#8217;t think the battery is the problem. We often have people come to us who have been charging their devices with chargers of unknown origin, and therefore have had battery or charging issues in the future. </span></p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="alignnone wp-image-625" src="https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/5e9eb9bd2fc20_IMG_9205-1.jpg" alt="iPhone not charging" width="412" height="292" srcset="https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/5e9eb9bd2fc20_IMG_9205-1-200x142.jpg 200w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/5e9eb9bd2fc20_IMG_9205-1-300x214.jpg 300w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/5e9eb9bd2fc20_IMG_9205-1-400x283.jpg 400w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/5e9eb9bd2fc20_IMG_9205-1-600x425.jpg 600w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/5e9eb9bd2fc20_IMG_9205-1-768x544.jpg 768w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/5e9eb9bd2fc20_IMG_9205-1-800x567.jpg 800w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/5e9eb9bd2fc20_IMG_9205-1-1024x725.jpg 1024w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/5e9eb9bd2fc20_IMG_9205-1-1200x850.jpg 1200w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/5e9eb9bd2fc20_IMG_9205-1.jpg 1600w" sizes="(max-width: 412px) 100vw, 412px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">In this case, the charger or power controller will usually fail. But more on that below, see reason number 5. </span></p>
<h2><span style="color: #000000;"><b>Reason 5: iPhone components are faulty </b></span></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">The final reason why the iPhone won&#8217;t charge is because of a failure of <strong>internal components</strong>. Yes, and don&#8217;t be surprised, it&#8217;s quite common! Most often, the battery or power controller will fail. You can only find out exactly what has failed after a service diagnosis. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">Many people complain that their iPhone <strong>doesn&#8217;t charge at all, or quickly loses % charge, is too hot, or won&#8217;t accept a cable</strong>, all signs of <span style="color: #ff0000;">a faulty iPhone power/charging controller</span>. We will describe the theory behind replacing iPhone power and charging components in detail in a separate article. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">If you need to explain it simplistically, then basically the U2 controller is a chip (microcircuit) on the iPhone board that can be replaced (re-soldered) with a new chip. In service centres, this procedure is commonly performed and the cost of repair ranges from 1 200 to 4 500 crowns (depending on the model). </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">We can&#8217;t tell you right away, remotely and without a physical diagnosis, exactly what has failed in your case. Therefore, if your iPhone is experiencing charging problems, poor battery life, etc., you should visit a service center right away. After replacing the power controller or battery, it is always a good idea to check the overall performance and battery life of your iPhone.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">Even new iPhone batteries (again of Chinese origin) can be faulty, and may not even charge.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">Or the technician who repaired your iPhone accidentally replaced a part but didn&#8217;t find the real problem that caused you to take your phone in for service.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;"> Therefore, ask the service center to connect your iPhone to a power source and make sure that the phone turns on and the charging indicator gets at least a few percent.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">In any case, write in the comments which method helped you. If the iPhone still does not charge, write to us about it and we will try to find another solution for you. We&#8217;re always in the same place, so come in and ask. </span></p>

<h3><span style="color: #000000;">No matter how you hold your iPhone 8, 8 Plus, X, Xs, Xs Max, 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max or XR in your hands, you&#8217;ll never have to guess what you need to press to hard reboot your iPhone or put it into <strong>DFU</strong> recovery mode to update or reinstall Firmware on your device. That&#8217;s probably one of the reasons that brought you to our site. </span></h3>
<h3><span style="color: #000000;">Now we&#8217;ll show you how to force a hard reboot, activate recovery mode or <strong>DFU</strong> mode on iPhone 8, 8 Plus, X, Xs, Xs Max, 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max or XR.</span></h3>
<h3><span style="color: #000000;">Before we dive into the details, let&#8217;s take another look at the button names using iPhone Xs as an example. Now, the power/lock button is called <strong>the</strong> <strong>Side button</strong>. We&#8217;ll continue to use this term to refer to it. The volume up <strong>plus</strong> (+) / volume down <strong>minus</strong> (-) buttons remain unchanged. </span></h3>
<h3><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>The circular button</strong>, or Home button, that you were used to on earlier models hasn&#8217;t appeared on iPhone X for obvious reasons, but it&#8217;s still there on iPhone 8/8 Plus. Still, the <span style="color: #ff0000;">button combinations for both iPhone models are identical to those on the X, Xs, etc.</span> </span></h3>

<h2><span style="color: #000000;"><b>How to hard restart iPhone </b><b>8, 8 Plus, X, Xs, Xs Max, XR, 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max</b></span></h2>
<h3><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">Let&#8217;s say your iPhone freezes, or some features start to fail, or it doesn&#8217;t turn on at all. To return it to a working state, you need to perform a forced restart. Forget (if you knew before) any other button combinations and follow the exact step-by-step instructions below. </span></h3>
<h3><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">The new <strong>iPhone restart</strong>button combination requires a little more manual dexterity. If it doesn&#8217;t work the first time, try again. </span></h3>
<h3><span style="color: #000000;"><b>STEP 1</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> &#8211; Press and quickly release the volume up button <strong>plus</strong> (+). Then press and quickly release the volume down button <strong>minus</strong> (-). </span></span></h3>
<h3><span style="color: #000000;"><b>STEP 2</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> &#8211; Now hold down the <strong>side button</strong> until the apple appears on the iPhone screen.</span></span></h3>
<h3><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">You must press the buttons in this exact combination!</span></h3>
<h3><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">So much for the hard reboot. Didn&#8217;t it work? Try to be more nimble and try again! </span></h3>
<h2><span style="color: #000000;"><b>Recovery mode on iPhone X and older</b></span></h2>
<h3><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">Now let&#8217;s take a look at the options for when to activate Recovery Mode on <strong>iPhone X</strong> and older models. We will do this as follows: </span></h3>
<h3><span style="color: #000000;"><b>STEP 1</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> &#8211; You must have the latest version of iTunes installed on your computer.</span></span></h3>
<h3><span style="color: #000000;"><b>STEP 2</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> &#8211; If iTunes is running, close it. Connect your iPhone to your computer with a cable and start iTunes. </span></span></h3>
<h3><span style="color: #000000;"><b>STEP 3</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> &#8211; Now follow the same procedure as in the previous section. Press and release the volume up button <strong>plus</strong> (+), then press and release the volume down button <strong>minus</strong> (-) </span></span></h3>
<h3><span style="color: #000000;"><b>STEP 4</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> &#8211; Press <span style="color: #ff0000;">and hold</span> the <strong>side button</strong> until a picture of the cable and iTunes icons appear on the iPhone screen. <strong>If the screen first shows an apple, don&#8217;t be surprised.</strong></span></span></h3>

<h3><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">Hold the <strong>side button</strong> until you receive confirmation that recovery mode has been successfully activated.</span></h3>
<h3><span style="color: #000000;"><b>STEP 5</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> &#8211; A corresponding message should appear in the iTunes window offering to <strong>Restore</strong> (with all data loss) or <strong>Update</strong> (without data loss) the iPhone firmware.</span></span></h3>
<h3><span style="color: #000000;"><img decoding="async" class="alignnone wp-image-591" src="https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Monosnap-2020-04-14-14-59-38.png" alt="DFU" width="482" height="207" srcset="https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Monosnap-2020-04-14-14-59-38-200x86.png 200w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Monosnap-2020-04-14-14-59-38-300x129.png 300w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Monosnap-2020-04-14-14-59-38-400x172.png 400w, https://i-fix.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Monosnap-2020-04-14-14-59-38.png 528w" sizes="(max-width: 482px) 100vw, 482px" /></span></h3>
<h3><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">For iPhone X and older devices in recovery mode, that&#8217;s it, now we move on to the most difficult <strong>DFU</strong> mode.</span></h3>
<h2><span style="color: #000000;"><b>DFU mode on iPhone Xs,Xs max, XR, 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max</b></span></h2>
<h3><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">We have reached the <strong>DFU</strong> (Device Firmware Update) mode. If a forced reboot didn&#8217;t help and recovery mode is not activated, <strong>DFU</strong> mode is the last option you can try at home without service. </span></h3>
<h3><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">When restoring the device in <strong>DFU</strong> mode, the iOs operating system will be installed on the phone &#8220;<em>from scratch</em>&#8220;. All information stored on the phone will be lost. </span></h3>
<h3><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">DFU mode can help in cases where the iPhone goes into a cyclic loop during the boot phase or periodically displays a blue/red &#8220;death&#8221; screen.</span></h3>
<h3></h3>
<h3><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>It is highly recommended that you read all the steps below carefully</strong> to understand the order in which and for how long you need to press this or that button. To enter <strong>DFU</strong> mode on iPhone </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">8, 8 Plus, X, Xs, Xs Max, XR, 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> you need to do the following:</span></span></h3>
<h3><span style="color: #000000;"><b>STEP 1</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> &#8211; Connect your iPhone to your computer and launch <strong>iTunes</strong>. Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes. </span></span></h3>
<h3><span style="color: #000000;"><b>STEP 2</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> &#8211; Press and release the <strong>plus</strong> (+) volume up button, then press and release the <strong>minus</strong> (-) volume down button, then press and hold the <strong>side button</strong> until the screen disappears.</span></span></h3>
<h3><span style="color: #000000;"><b>STEP 3</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> &#8211; Press and hold the <strong>side button</strong> and the <strong>volume down</strong> (minus) button simultaneously <span style="color: #ff0000;">for 5 seconds</span>.</span></span></h3>
<h3><span style="color: #000000;"><b>STEP 4</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> &#8211; Then release the <strong>side button</strong> while holding down the <strong>minus</strong> (-) button for another <span style="color: #ff0000;">15 seconds</span>.</span></span></h3>
<h3><span style="color: #000000;"><b>STEP 5</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> &#8211; A message should appear in the iTunes window that the iPhone has been detected in recovery mode. The screen on the iPhone should remain off. </span></span></h3>
<h3><span style="color: #000000;"><b>STEP 6</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> &#8211; If nothing happened or something appeared on the iPhone screen after the above steps, you miscalculated the time in seconds. So go back to <strong>STEP 1</strong> and try again. </span></span></h3>
<h3><span style="font-weight: 400; color: #000000;">That&#8217;s all. In fact, activating <strong>DFU</strong> mode on iPhone Xs and newer is the same as on older iPhone models, but the restart and recovery mode is already new. </span></h3>
