After replacing the battery, you’ll see “Service” and a message that your phone doesn’t have an original Apple battery in the battery status information on your device. This notification appears because iOS recognizes that the battery has been changed. But it doesn’t bother the iPhone, and the phone works just like it does with the original battery.

Two battery replacement options:

Battery replacement on standby:

It usually takes around 15-30 minutes, depending on the specific model.

Cheaper replacement option.

Includes replacement of the entire battery including electronics.

After this replacement, the device will alert you when the battery has changed, but it does not affect the functionality or endurance of the device.

Replacing the battery with authorization:

It requires rewiring the electronics from the original battery to the new cell.

More time-consuming repair, usually takes 2-3 hours.

Allows you to keep battery status information in the settings.

A more expensive option, but provides complete functionality and retains the ability to monitor battery condition in the settings.

3. Recommendation:

When it comes to choosing between speed and authorisation, it depends on personal preferences and priorities. If you want a fast and affordable replacement with minimal impact on functionality, a battery replacement on demand may be the optimal choice. Conversely, if you prefer complete retention of functionality and the ability to monitor battery status, replacement with authorization may be preferable, albeit with a longer duration and higher cost.

Its reliability and performance are one of the reasons why many people choose this type of computer. However, it may happen that your MacBook stops turning on, which can cause you stress and worry. Don’t despair though, there are several steps you can take before you decide to contact a service technician. Here are some tips on what to do when your MacBook won’t turn on.

Check the power: Connect your MacBook to the power adapter and make sure it’s plugged in. Make sure the adapter is plugged into a power outlet and that you’ve turned it on. Sometimes a weak or dead battery can be the problem. If possible, try connecting a different adapter or power output.

Restart your MacBook: Press and hold the power button on your MacBook for a few seconds until the device turns off. Then wait a few seconds and press the power button again to turn on your MacBook. Restarting your computer may resolve any temporary software problems.

Reset the System Management Controller (SMC): the SMC is responsible for managing power on your MacBook. If an error occurs in the SMC, it may result in power-up problems. The procedure for resetting the SMC may vary depending on your MacBook model. Visit Apple’s website for detailed instructions on how to perform an SMC reset for your specific model.

Safe Mode:If your MacBook still won’t turn on, you can try booting into Safe Mode. Safe Mode runs only necessary system software, which can help identify and fix potential problems. To start MacBook in safe mode, hold down the Shift key after pressing the power button and hold it down until the Apple logo appears.

Fix software problems: If you have recently installed new software or upgraded your system, the problem may be caused by an incompatibility or software bug. Try running an operating system restore from recovery mode or restoring a backup using Time Machine.

If the above steps don’t help and your MacBook still won’t turn on, it’s best to contact an Apple Authorized Service Center or a professional technician who can provide further assistance and diagnosis of hardware issues. Keep in mind that hardware repairs require expertise and experience, so it’s best to leave it to the professionals.

Causes why MacBook doesn’t turn on

MacBook is a popular portable computer developed by Apple. Its reliability and performance make it the preferred choice of many users. However, your MacBook may become unresponsive and not turn on. This situation can be frustrating, but there is no need to panic. There are several possible reasons why your MacBook won’t turn on. Here’s an overview of some common problems.

Low battery: If your MacBook’s battery is completely dead, it won’t turn on. Try plugging in the power adapter and checking to see if the battery is charging. If possible, leave your MacBook connected to the adapter for a period of time until the battery is sufficiently charged. You should then be able to turn it on.

Problems with the power adapter: The power adapter may be damaged or malfunctioning. Check that the adapter is well connected to the power outlet and also to the MacBook. Make sure the light on the adapter is on, indicating that the power supply is active. If you see any signs of damage on the adapter, try replacing it with a new one.

Display problems: if no image appears on the display when you turn it on, there may be problems with the graphics system or the display itself. Try connecting an external monitor and check if the image is displayed on it. If it does, there’s probably a problem with your MacBook’s display. In this case, you should contact an Apple Authorized Service Center for repair.

Problems with the operating system: Sometimes there may be a problem with the operating system that prevents your MacBook from booting properly. Try rebooting and holding down the Option (Alt) key while powering on to get to the startup selection. Here, you can select the startup disk or go into recovery mode where you can perform system repairs.

Hardware malfunctions:In some cases, a hardware malfunction may cause your MacBook not to turn on. For example, there may be problems with the memory, hard drive, or motherboard. In these cases, it’s best to contact a professional technician or Apple Authorized Service to diagnose and repair.

If your MacBook still won’t turn on after trying these steps, it’s best to contact a professional. You can provide your Apple Authorized Service Provider or Certified Technician with a detailed description of the problem and get professional help repairing your MacBook.

Before troubleshooting“Face ID doesn’t work“, it’s important to understand how the technology works in principle. Face ID is
consists of several sensors that are located on the front of the phone, in the so-called notch.
If you look closely at the notch, you can find not only the main camera, but also
several sensors:
– infrared illumination for object recognition at night or in insufficient
ambient lighting
– The infrared camera counts the point structure, produces an image in the infrared spectrum and then
sends the created information to Secure Enclave
– The dot projector projects more than 30,000 dots onto the face, guaranteeing accurate
iPhone owner recognition reliably and without errors.
The system produces a 3D image, which is then scanned to identify your face. Initially
there may be recognition problems if the hairstyle needs to be changed or there are other
factors, however, thanks to intelligent tools, Face ID quickly adapts to external
indicators and unlocks your iPhone, even if you grow a beard or put on a
sunglasses or a hat.

Which iPhone/iPad models support Face ID

Face ID is integrated into newer devices to improve user protection. Thanks to this
technology was able to improve security and make it easier to log in the owner through face scanning
in three-dimensional space. This feature not only protects your privacy better than scanning
fingerprint (Touch ID), but also allows you to make payments, start installing apps in
AppStore, etc. At the same time, its nature and ease of use makes it much more intuitive
to use than a fingerprint reader (Touch ID).
The Apple giant has introduced this feature in new iPhone models such as iPhone X / XR / XS
/ XS MAX, across the 11th version range (iPhone 11/11 Pro / 11 Pro Max), as well as in iPhone 12/12
Pro / 12 Pro Max / mini, but also in the iPad Pro series – Face ID is available in 11-inch
second-generation and 12.9-inch third- and fourth-generation iPad.
Why doesn’t Face ID work on my iPhone X?
Now we come to the topic: why Face ID stopped working. It should be noted right away that
there are several causes and solutions to the problem and all can be addressed either at home or
by taking the equipment to the workshop. Take iPhone X, for example, where Face ID has stopped
work.

When Face ID doesn’t work on iPhone X

Software error
If the device has no visual defects, there has been no contact with water, the phone has not been
stored for a long time in places with high humidity, but Face ID still stopped working, the solution
may be a firmware error or insufficient lighting or incorrect viewing angle.

What can you try to do in this case? Restart the system. Despite the fact that
iOS is considered the most reliable and stable firmware, like any other system, it is not
immune to occasional flaws and mistakes. A reboot can help load properly
all components of the operating system and load sensors and scanners together correctly
responsible for the proper operation of Face ID.
The operating system hasn’t been updated in a while
If the reasons listed above do not exist and Face ID still does not work on iPhone X, you need to
check iOS update. You can find this item in settings-general-software-update
and you should pay attention to it and always have the latest firmware version installed.
Important! When updating, the battery indicator must show at least 50% to give the iPhone time
correctly download and install all components of the update. We recommend using
stable internet connection. For example, if the choice is between LTE mobile internet
or 5G and Wi-Fi, it’s better to give preference to the second option, i.e. Wi-Fi.

Setting up Face ID correctly

Inexperienced users may set up Face ID incorrectly and then be confused, resulting in
of which face sensing on the iPhone X does not work, for example, Face ID may not work at all
turn on or cause scanning errors. So what needs to be done?
After you go to the settings menu and open the Face ID tab, they should be activated
all sliders that are highlighted in green. For Attention you need to be careful
and carefully read the warnings that come with this option.

Face ID doesn’t work

If Face ID doesn’t work after all of the above settings, you’ll need to do
reset Face ID. Resetting is simple and is located in the same menu. Resetting you
The iPhone will ask for a numeric password.
After resetting Face ID, you must set new parameters. This will protect your data and
also be able to pay by face scan only, without the need for additional passwords and PINs
bank cards. The procedure is as follows:
– go to settings
– click on Face ID and code and set Face ID
– click on Start which will start the scan, the smartphone camera should be in the right
at an angle to your face. Do not move or play with your facial expressions during the process so that the sensors
could create a 3D image of your face
– the repeated procedure contributes to more accurate face recognition in the future
If everything is done correctly, you will be notified that the process has been successfully completed
Now we’ll list a few other options that can prevent Face ID from working correctly
worked on iPhone X
– seasonal clothing-this happens especially often in winter, when we bundle up in scarves and hats.
These additions to our wardrobe can affect facial and camera legibility, which
is unable to scan and correctly recognize all the necessary points, resulting in
the result is that Face ID cannot unlock the iPhone. The solution, of course, is
simple-for a short period of time to remove these items of clothing and thus allow proper
facial scanning
– The same applies to the summer season, when users wear sunglasses, masks, hats, etc.
The solution may be an item in the Face ID-alternative appearance settings that will
must be set

– Face ID on iPhone doesn’t work because of the obstructed optics – except for the normal, accidental
covering your hands, a new case or new protective glass may cover the holes. If
the case or glass is of poor quality or does not match the iPhone model, it may
This will cause errors when scanning the face. Then you must choose only such
accessories that are compatible with your iPhone model and of better quality than you

Have you tried all of the above but Face ID still doesn’t work on your iPhone? In that
in this case, it is appropriate to consider a technical problem and faulty hardware.
What are the symptoms:
– Face ID does not work reliably, the background is “like fog”
– Face ID doesn’t work or start – restarting the device didn’t solve the problem
– The screen says: Face ID is not available, please try again later
– When you try to add a face, the image is out of focus and it says: zoom out or
zoom in on the camera (or raise or lower it, depending on your iOS version).
If the device is under warranty, just contact your nearest authorised service centre and they will
will usually replace the iPhone with a new one. In other cases, you will need to contact such
a service that can fix the problem and specialises in this type of repair. In order to
repair done well and lasted a long time, you should contact a trustworthy
service that uses certified equipment and professional tools. Before you go to the workshop,
we recommend you read reviews of the service you are going to take your phone to.

Face ID not working after contact with liquid

Water intrusion inside the device has a devastating effect on all components in the iPhone. They oxidize
elements that become covered with corrosion and these cease to interact with the system. If you don’t apply
phone to the repair shop on time or you may not notice a soaking, even if it is slight, you may
over time, the individual contacts or the sensors as a whole are completely damaged.

So what to do if Face ID doesn’t work on my iPhone after contact with water? It is essential to make it as
first bring your iPhone to a repair shop to have it repaired and cleaned with special products,
which will remove the oxidation and the damaged components will be repaired.
The specialists at i-Fix carry out repairs using professional tools and technical
Equipment. You can contact us at any time for assistance to ensure that your equipment continues to
worked as it should. In our service price list you will find only reasonable prices without unnecessary
surcharges.
We always install only original parts or proven analogues that guarantee stability
functions of all components. So if your iPhone with Face ID doesn’t work after contact with water,
take it to our technicians who will try to repair it as soon as possible.

Face ID on iPhone doesn’t work after a crash

Often there is a crash after which Face ID does not work properly or does not turn on at all.
A familiar situation for many users of not only Apple devices, but also other brands. So what are
symptoms and what to look out for:
– the camera takes many times longer to start than usual
– Portrait mode does not blur the background or does not work at all
– A FaceTime call tells you that the camera is busy with another program,
even though you didn’t turn on anything else
– spontaneous switching on of a lamp that you have not clicked on
– truedepth camera is not working because it is physically broken.

By the way, it is not always necessary to change components after a crash, sometimes it can simply
disassemble the phone and place the components in their proper places, as the fall may have
their displacement or detachment. Another thing is if the Truedepth camera doesn’t work because of
cracks and other external, visible to the eye, damage.
If Face ID doesn’t work and nothing helps
If you have tried all the tricks described above and also performed forced
reboot, you can still try another method – DFU mode. It helps in cases where
the phone does not respond to touch at all, freezes and is slow. It is easy to get into DFU mode
to get it, just connect your Phone to a laptop or computer running iTunes. Once it’s
the computer detects, the recovery process starts. This can help when Face ID doesn’t work on the iPhone
due to a software bug. You can read how to switch your phone to DFU mode here

Face ID doesn’t work after replacing the display

No one is protected from unprofessional intervention of repair shops, where they don’t know what
they do, so it happens that Face ID or TrueTone doesn’t work after replacing the screen. You need
take the utmost care when selecting a service centre to provide
service level and have positive reviews. Here are just a few of the criteria by which
you should get your bearings:
– the service has quality spare parts in stock so that the customer does not have to wait weeks for
handling of repairs
– service is dedicated to the most difficult fixes possible, including those where Face ID on
iPhone X or other models does not work
– services include tasks such as replacing displays, motherboards, connectors, batteries
etc.
All of these are handled by the specialists at i-Fix Servis and they provide full service and warranty

Summary

Based on all of the above, we conclude:
– if Face ID is not working on your iPhone, you can try to fix the problem
themselves
– never disassemble the iPhone after contact with liquid or dry it with a hair dryer, in rice and
in other ways. It is always necessary to seek the help of professionals!
Accidentally dropping your smartphone can cause you to be forced to go to a repair shop for repairs without delay. How long does this task take, how to replace the display, and what tools do technicians use in their work?

Replacing the iPhone X display: where to start?

The repair is not difficult if you have previous experience with Apple technology. In the first stage you will need a screwdriver Pentalobe – use it to unscrew the screws at the bottom of the phone. To further open the iPhone X, you must first carefully heat the device around the perimeter with a hairdryer – from the factory, an adhesive is used inside the perimeter of the structure to ensure resistance to the ingress of dust and moisture. However, if the iPhone gets too hot, it can damage internal components, so it’s important to act quickly, and with the utmost care.

After removing the adhesive, open the phone carefully. For this, a special pick with a thin, sharp blade and a plastic spatula are used.

Important! iPhone X can only be opened from left to right, otherwise the display cables or the headphone flex cable could be damaged.

The cover panel of the display connectors is fitted with 5 screws (2 of them are different lengths, so it is important not to mix them up). The screws are removed with a 3-point screwdriver. After removing the protective cover, the battery is disconnected from the motherboard. Skipping this step may cause a short circuit on the motherboard. Then the connectors and the headphone flex cable are carefully disconnected from the motherboard.

Important! Even the slightest carelessness can damage the flex cable of the headset. Due to this, the Face ID and True Tone feature will not be available in the future, even if this feature is replaced by a new part. Face ID and True Tone only work with the original headphone flex cable that is paired to the processor.

The protective cover of the flex cables of the display and the flex cable of the handset must be unscrewed slowly and with a good quality magnetic screwdriver. After all, without it, your screwdriver can slip and damage not only the display and headphone cables, but also break off part of the motherboard or puncture the battery insulation, which can cause the lithium to ignite if oxygen gets inside.

Important features related to iPhone X display repair.

The introduction of True Tone technology has become another important feature on all new iPhone models. After the display is replaced, this feature will not work even if the original parts – the display – are used. This is due to the fact that each display from iPhone 8 and above is designed for the specific phone on which it is mounted from the factory.

To restore True Tone, you need a special programmer that reads the data from the original display and transfers it to the new display.

In general, it is quite difficult to replace the display on these iPhones separately. This task requires not only experience and knowledge of the basic details of repairing Apple devices, but also the need to own special equipment to make the repair go correctly. Trying to save money on professional service often leads to serious damage to important components, such as screen smudges, or the operation of basic features like Face ID and True Tone may be disrupted, or the display may not fully adhere to the body of the phone after replacement. That’s why it’s best to have the repair done by experts – only then can you get the quality guarantee you need and, most importantly, a fully functional iPhone after the repair.

If you still decide to replace the display yourself, you can purchase it from us by contacting us via email at info@i-fix.cz

If you want to entrust us with this work, then here you will find repair price list.

Original spare parts are guaranteed for 1 year, non-original parts for 6 months.

Your iPhone won’t turn on? If your iPhone won’t turn on and the apple is lit up, or the screen is completely black and the iPhone doesn’t respond to button presses, there is a solution! Both of these problems can happen to any iPhone user, dropping the device on the floor is not a requirement. You can read about what to do if your iPhone won’t turn on in the following article. It is often possible to solve the above problems on your own without visiting a service center and the associated financial costs.

Perform a hard reboot

The first thing you can do if your iPhone won’t turn on is to try a forced (“hard”) reboot. This procedure can get your iPhone out of recovery mode, which the device may have inadvertently gotten into, and which may simply delete the software and all of your data on your iPhone. Forced restart is performed differently for different models

iPhone models

On iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, iPhone 6S and older:

Simultaneously press and hold the Home Button and ON/OFF button (located on the side or top of the device, depending on the iPhone model) for 15 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the display.

On iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus:

Simultaneously press the Volume Down button and hold the ON/OFF (side) button for about 15 seconds until the Apple logo appears.

On iPhone 8/8 Plus, iPhone X and later:

Click and immediately release the volume up button. Next, press and immediately release the volume down button. Then press and hold the ON/OFF power button for 15 seconds until the Apple logo appears.

Remember how to force restart your device! In most cases, it can help with similar glitches that can happen on your iPhone!

A forced restart is completely safe and will not erase or lose any data from your iPhone. If a hard reboot doesn’t help, try another option:

Connect your iPhone to the charger. iPhone often won’t turn on and shows no signs of life, due to the fact that its battery is completely drained. So connect your iPhone to a charger and let it charge for an hour. Here are some important tips to keep in mind:

● Preferably use original or tested and quality chargers

There have been cases where an iPhone has shut down due to a dead battery, but not charged due to a damaged charging adapter or cable. Make sure the charger and cable are in working order.

● Charge your iPhone with electricity.

Often users charge the iPhone from the USB port with the help of a computer. But because of the old battery in the smartphone and the low capacity of the current supplied from the USB interface of the computer, the battery simply does not charge.

● Check if the connector is not dirty.

Sometimes charging will not start due to a heavily soiled Lightning connector. So check the charging port. If it is dirty, clean it gently, for example with a toothpick. How to tell if your iPhone has really started charging?

If, after connecting the device to the charger, the battery and cable logo does not appear on your iPhone’s display and it still asks to connect to the charger, the battery is not charging and the cable or adapter is not working. Therefore, you must use another charging accessory.

If the battery symbol appears on the screen, the iPhone is charging successfully. You should only start worrying if this logo is displayed unchanged for more than 30 minutes. In this case, you need to try replacing both the charging adapter and the cable again.

Connecting iPhone to iTunes in recovery mode

If neither charging nor a hard reboot can turn on your iPhone, you need to try putting your device into recovery mode. Here we must stress that system recovery with data loss may not always be necessary.

The first step is to try to get your iPhone back to a working state with the help of a software update. This method has already saved thousands of iPhones without losing user data. Therefore, we strongly recommend using it initially:

Step 1. Connect your iPhone to your computer with a USB cable and launch iTunes (Finder window in macOS Catalina).

Step 2. Put your iPhone into recovery mode and select the option to update (not restore!)

Note: iPhone must be connected to the computer using a USB cable.

● On iPhone 6s, iPhone 6, iPhone 5s and older.

Press and hold the Home Button and ON/OFF button simultaneously for about 20 seconds until the iTunes logo (the laptop logo on iOS 13 devices) appears.

● On iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, press and hold the Volume Down button and the ON/OFF button at the same time for about 20 seconds until the iTunes logo appears (Notebook logo on iOS 13 devices).

● On iPhone 8/8 Plus, iPhone X and later.

Press and immediately release the volume up button.

Press and immediately release the volume down button. Then press and hold the ON/OFF button for about 20 seconds until the iTunes logo (the laptop logo on iOS 13 devices) appears.

Read more about Recovery Mode here.

Step 3. Once the update is successful, the system will boot and then click “Eject iPhone” in the iTunes window.

Step 4. Restart iPhone. To do this, just hold down the ON/OFF button. You can also do a forced restart using the method described above.

As a result of this operation, your iPhone can be turned on and will work as before without the need to reset the device.

Restore iPhone via iTunes

If the iPhone won’t turn on even after connecting to the computer and then updating, then only a system restore will help. In most cases, a system restore means deleting all data from the device. You will only be able to get your data back if a current backup is available on iCloud or iTunes.

For instructions on how to restore your iPhone via iTunes, see here

If all options fail and none of the above methods helped to get your device up and running, it means that your iPhone is physically damaged and you need to contact a service center.

Why won’t the iPhone turn on?

1. The most common reason is a faulty battery that prevents the iPhone from turning on. If you’ve noticed your iPhone draining quickly before, shutting down at 10-30% charge, shutting down in freezing cold weather, or any other similar anomaly, then the problem is definitely in the battery.

2. Power controller failure is another very common cause of iPhone failure. The symptoms before failure are similar to a dead battery-accidental shutdown, overheating, etc.

Replacing the chip is relatively inexpensive. The power controller or other microchip associated with the charging process is replaced and can be done at any professional service centre.

3. Failure of other components. iPhone may not turn on due to failure of other components, most commonly after the smartphone is dropped or moisture intrusion. The exact cause can only be determined during professional diagnostics at a service center.

This problem can be encountered by owners of iPhone models starting with the iPhone 8. If you use the phone without protecting the back, the glass becomes very vulnerable.

Replacing the back glass on iPhones is quite a chore if you do it by hand. That’s because the glass is “hard” glued to the iPhone and when you manually peel it off, it starts to break and can seriously damage things like the iPhone housing, wireless charging, side button flex cables, or charging connector, which ultimately leads to higher overall repair costs.

In the event of a broken back glass, the official Apple service center suggests replacing the iPhone with a new device for a huge additional fee. So what to do in this situation?

You must choose a non-authorised service centre where the rear glass will be carefully replaced without damaging the internal components. When repairing the iPhone XS back cover glass, the technician will usually disassemble the iPhone and heat the glass vigorously with a hair dryer. However, this is an outdated technology that risks leaving imperfections and small leaks around the perimeter of the cover after replacement. Also, because the iPhone has to be completely disassembled for this procedure, it takes quite a long time to replace the back glass this way.

Our service has such an option – replacement of the rear glass on iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone XR, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max on specialized equipment using laser technology. The laser trims the back glass according to predetermined parameters, completely eliminating the possibility of damaging the housing and components inside your iPhone.
